Leaked Gareth Bale's Transfer Contract Sparks Outrage in Spain

The leak of secret documents relating to footballer, Gareth Bale's move and how Real Madrid kept the fee secret to appease Ronaldo has sparked fury among the player's representatives.

Tension and outrage has trailed the leaking of documents revealing the financial details of Gareth Bale's world record transfer to Real Madrid, The Telegraph reports.

The shocking details contained in the document has sparked fury with the player's representatives - and panic at the club.

The details of Bale’s move from Spurs to Madrid in 2013 were released by website Football Leaks and confirmed that the deal was a world record, also eclipsing the fee paid to Manchester United for Cristiano Ronaldo four years earlier.

Real have always claimed the Bale deal was worth €91.59 million, with Ronaldo's fee eclipsing that at €96 million, but the leaked documents have reported that Bale’s fee amounted to €100,759,418 after they opted to pay Spurs in installments rather than up front.

AS also claim that the document detailing the deal, which runs to six pages, specified that Real would issue a press release stating that the price of the deal was €91.59million. It also stipulates that Spurs could not reveal any financial details surrounding the transfer to the media.

Jonathan Barnett, the co-owner of football agency Stellar Group who brokered Bale’s move, is furious at how the finer details of the transfer have been made public.

He told Telegraph Sport: “There should be an inquiry and an independent investigation because it’s outrageous. There also needs to be an apology from the Football Association to the clubs and the player.

“I think it’s disgraceful that people can get hold of this sort of stuff. It shows complete disregard for both clubs and the player.”

And the report will also have political repercussions at the Spanish giants, as it has long been thought that Real's insistence that Bale's fee was not as large as Ronaldo's was part of a concerted effort to appease their talismanic forward.

The Sunday Times journalist Jonathan Northcroft claimed earlier this month that he had been asked not to refer to Bale's transfer fee as a world record in an interview he had conducted with the Wales international.

Speaking to the BBC, he said: "Real Madrid are a club so worried about image that when I interviewed Bale it was requested to me, 'don't put in the article how much Gareth Bale cost'

The Belgian skipper was unhurt after the private aircraft left the runway before coming to a standstill before take off. Kompany was accompanied by his representative and three others on board. Luckily nobody got hurt.

“The airport remained open to helicopter traffic. The Air Accident Investigation Branch has been informed, which is standard practice,” the airport announced in a statement.

“It was at a fairly low speed of its departure at which point it veered off the runway, for reasons which we have some guesses,” Phil Brockwell (Centreline Air) said.

Kompany is currenlty out with an injured calf. The Belgian had been in East Anglia to watch City’s FA Cup match against Norwich. The Citizens won 3-0, with goals from Sergio Agüero, Kelechi Iheanacho and Kevin De Bruyne.

City couldn’t have afforded missing their skipper for a longer period of time. It took them untill December 29 (0-0 against Leicester) to keep a clean sheet without Kompany

More Trouble at Chelsea as Costa and Oscar Clash During Training

Star striker, Diego Costa and Brazilian team-mate, Oscar were involved in angry clash at Chelsea's Cobham training ground as team-mates separate the attacking duo.

Chelsea stars, Diego Costa and Oscar were reportedly involved in an angry training ground confrontation on Thursday afternoon. The attacking pair had to be restrained after squaring up to each following a sequence of two hefty tackles during an intense training session.

The Brazillian is understood to have rattled Costa with a hefty tackle before the Spain international responded with hard-hitting tackle of his own.

The second clash is understood to have sparked the heated confrontation between the pair, who had to be pulled apart and were separated before any punches were thrown.

The clash is said to have de-escalated quickly with the pair said to have resolved their differences with each other at the end of the training session.

Following reports, Oscar hit out on Twitter on Thursday night denying the incident: 'For those who are talking to me and @diegocosta struggle today in training he's lying, he's one of my best friends and never fight.'

Regardless, the encounter will come as an unwanted headache for the club ahead of the FA Cup tie against Scunthorpe this weekend.

How the Police Caused the Tragic Death of NFF Official - Security Committee Reveals

The tragic death of the late NFF official, Ibrahim Abubakar, could have been avoided if Police in the Estate had responded to distress calls, the Chairman, Security Committee, Kado Estate, reveals.
Late NFF official, Ibrahim Abubakar

The Chairman, Security Committee, in Kado Estate, Abuja, Umar Kotangora, has said that Policemen on duty at the estate failed to respond to his distress calls during an armed robbery attack, which led to the tragic death of the NFF protocol officer, Ibrahim Abubakar and his gateman, Umar Saidu, on Wednesday, January 6 at his residence.

Kontagora stated that on Thursday, January 7, he called the policemen at the security post on the telephone during the attack, adding that the officers ignored his phone calls while the attack lasted.

"During the attack at Abubakar’s house, I called the policemen, but they didn’t respond. We had to walk down to the police post where we found two policemen – one was sitting while his colleague was sleeping," he said.

Kotangora explained that the estate had recorded many attacks by armed assailants, adding that it was the reason a police post was established by the entrance to the estate. He said two houses were attacked about five months ago, adding that a resident was stabbed in the neck during the incident.

He stated that a vigilance group that was set up to complement the police’s effort was disbanded following the refusal of the residents to pay security fees.

He said, "We set up a vigilance group to stem the incessant armed attacks, but we had to disband it because the residents refused to pay them. Some people have been calling for another vigilance group."

Asked if he suspected insiders’ connivance, the estate security committee chairman said it was not possible for criminal gangs to carry out attacks in the estate without collusion of some residents, adding that a meeting had been fixed for Sunday with the Life Camp Divisional Police Officer to discuss new ways of securing the estate.

It was gathered that Abubakar was shot in the head through the window after the gang had broken the glass windows of the house. It was also learnt that the hoodlums also killed the gateman, Saidu (Umar), who approached them after they had scaled the fence into the compound.

A resident said: "It seems Saidu recognised one of the assailants because we heard him saying, ‘you again?’ Some minutes later, we heard a gunshot. It was after killing him that they went for Abubakar. They could not gain entrance into his apartment, so they broke all the glass windows and shot him."

Cristiano Ronaldo's reaction to Messi winning the Ballon d'Or says it all

Cristiano Ronaldo was denied a third straight Ballon d'Or yesterday evening - and this is how he reacted to the news that Lionel Messi had been voted as the best footballer on the planet in 2015. Barcelona superstar Messi won the title for the fifth time, beating Ronaldo and teammate Neymar in the voting. Messi took top spot with 41.33 percent, ahead of Ronaldo with 27.76 percent. Neymar finished in third with just 7.86 percent.

"It is a very special moment for me to be back here on this stage, winning again another Ballon d’Or after being there in the audience watching Cristiano win," he said.
"It’s incredible this is my fifth. It’s much more than anything I’ve dreamed of as a kid.
"I want to thank everyone who voted for me and I want to hank my team-mates. And lastly, I want to thank football in general for everything it has brought me. Both the bad and the good. Because it has made me learn and grow."

Earlier in the night, Messi was named in the FIFPro World XI , alongside Ronaldo and Neymar.
