Here’s How to Get Clear Skin in 15 Minutes or Less

get clear skin in minutes
For all of summer’s greats, including but not limited to fresh berries and long soleil-filled weekend getaways, the season has a funny way of taking an unwanted toll on skin. And while protection from the sun’s harsh rays is key, the dehydration, accumulated sweat, and daily layering of SPF can often lead to seriously blocked pores.
Fortunately, a slew of new over-the-counter products are sweeping the nation, and unlike retinol and other prescription acne treatments, this solution doesn’t make skin sensitive to the sun and still provides all the same bacteria-fighting benefits of its hardworking counterparts.

Must Read: Top Four Unhealthy Habits That Depress Your Vàgina

Unhealthy habits that depress your vagina

Ever heard of vulvodynia? It’s a condition that causes chronic pain, rawness or irritation that comes and goes, burning and sensitivity in the vulva – that outer part of the v*gina.
Gynaecologists say many things can be responsible for vulvodynia, otherwise known as v*gina depression. They are as follow…
1. Washing with too much soap: Any type of soap, however gentle, can be irritating to the labia, says a Clinical Associate Professor of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Yale School of Medicine, Dr. Mary Jane Minkin.
“The less (soap) you use, the better. Once a day or after a gym session, work up a small lather from a soap made with no dyes or fragrances, which can itch or burn,” says Minkin.
2. Getting a tattoo on or near v*gina: Tempted to get a tattoo below the belt? Consider how it might affect your v*gina. Having a tattoo done anywhere on your anatomy can trigger redness and inflammation, but your v*ginal area has the most sensitive skin of your entire body, says Minkin.
So, you’re practically asking for a rash and itchy irritation. Even the cheap dye from a temporary tattoo can have the same effect, she says. So, get body art on your ankle, arm, or back instead.
3. Lubricating it with baby oil: So, you’re ready for s*x, and to get things going quick, you rub on some baby oil or another petroleum jelly product. Hmmm! Your v*gina isn’t going to be happy.
Oil-based lubricants are thicker and don’t wash out very easily, so they can get stuck in your v*ginal canal and eventually trap bacteria along with it, resulting in infection, says Minkin. Stick with silicone- or water-based lube instead. Because they wash out easily, they make your vagina smile.
4. Not taking off your gym clothes after a workout: As you lounge around in your sweaty gym pants, bacteria are breeding like crazy, thanks to all that perspiration your below-the-belt region produces (your v*ginal area is packed with sweat glands, you know).
If bacteria get into your vaginal canal, they can upset the balance of the microbes that normally live there and cause a yeast infection, says Minkin.
Change out of your sweaty, stinky gear as soon as you can, and take a quick shower to wash away the sweat that allows infection-causing bugs to thrive.

OMG!!! 30 Year Old Man Unable To Have Séx After Botched Penile Surgery

A man who underwent a vasectomy has been left with a horrific condition that makes him unable to have s*x.
A 30-year-old man has been left unable to have s*x and faces having both of his testicles removed after a botched vasectomy.
According to The Sun UK, the man, identified as Daniel and a father of five, has only managed to have s*x with his wife Sara once in the last four years.
Even then, he ended up in hospital in excruciating pain, reports say.
Daniel had undergone a vasectomy in 2012, an irreversible surgery that sterilizes men and makes them unable to impregnate a woman again.
David had his first child at 19, and is father to four girls and a boy. He has been unable to have four four years since he had the procedure.
He said his injuries have left him in “constant and unbearable agony” and the operation has “destroyed his life.”
David reportedly had a vasectomy in Nottingham in January 2012, but said that the 12 anaesthetic injections he was given failed to work and that he “could feel everything” while the surgery lasted.
Four years later, he suffers from sharp shooting pains through his groin and into his stomach.
Doctors have told David, that he is “suffering from post-vasectomy pain syndrome.”
The condition is a known complication of the surgery, but the cause of it can be unclear.
Experts believe it’s triggered by various scenarios, one of which is a build-up of scar tissue in the area.
A leak of sperm into the testicle tissue can also cause the pain, by triggering intense inflammation as the body sees the sperm as a foreign body.
Other theories include nerve damage caused during the surgery, and interrupting the natural drainage of sperm.
David said the pain was so bad he has had to take morphine tablets for the past three years.
The doting dad, who was driven to a suicide by his condition, is on a waiting list to have an operation where his scrotum will be pumped full of anti-inflammatory drugs.
If that doesn’t work, he will have both of his testicles removed.
Speaking exclusively to the Sun Online, David said: “They can take my testicles for all I care. I just want the pain to be over.
“They can take them like a dog, I just want to be free of the pain.”

Ladies: See The 5 Ways To Effectively Clean Your Vàgina After Sèx To Prevent Diseases

Cleaning your honeypot immediately after a pleasure session is very important for ladies to avoid Sexually Transmitted Infections and other sort of irritations.
When you think of the times that you feel the most relaxed and happy, the blissed-out buzz you get after an climax ranks right up there with a deep tissue massage. But what you choose to do while buzzed impacts your v*gina.
“When the v*ginal tissues have been lubricated, swollen, and rubbed against during intercourse, it changes how that tissue reacts to the environment.
Primarily, you run a much greater risk of infection,” says Kansas-based gynaecologist, Dr. Leslie Page
Here, we break down the stuff you should never, ever do after s*x if you want to keep your v**ina happy:
(1) Don’t forget to pee
During s*x, bacteria can get pushed into your bladder. “This can result in post-intercourse bladder infections,” says an obstetrics gynaecologist, Dr. Robert Wool, M.D.
“You can have some snuggle time, just empty your bladder within one hour of having s*x.”
Then, wipe from front to back to avoid spreading fecal matter from your anus to the v*gina.
“Due to swelling and micro-abrasions that can occur during s*xual intercourse, your vulva and vaginal skin are particularly tender and prone to infection,” says Page.
(2) Don’t use soap to wash your v*gina
Some women might feel the urge to wash the v*gina with soap after s*x, but that’s really unnecessary. Not only might you have an allergic reaction if your post-s*x skin reacts differently to the harsh chemicals in cleansers, but “using soap can lead to v*ginal irritation and dryness,” Wool says.
“The v*gina is a self-cleaning organ, and needs to be treated very, very gently — if you wouldn’t put it in your mouth, you shouldn’t put it in or around your v*gina,” Page says. If you want to take a post-s*x shower, use plain water to rinse off.
(3) Don’t sleep in your nylon underwear
Cotton lingerie is okay because it’s breathable, but nylon, rayon, or polyester undies are a no-no.
“After s*x, your skin tends to be warm and damp, thanks to perspiration, v*ginal secretions, and semen,” Page says.
“As such, synthetic underwear traps the moisture and you run the risk of a yeast infection,” Wool says. “The v*gina likes to breathe.” So, go unclad or stick to cotton pants after s*x.
(4) Don’t swim in a hot bath tub
Getting your bubbles on sounds like the perfect after-s*x activity, but it’s bad news.
“When your vulva swells in response to s*xual stimulation, it reveals the opening of the v*gina, which means you have a greater chance of infection,” Page says.
If you’re in a hot tub with your partner, that means you’re exposed to the bacteria on his skin and anus. Also, extensive water exposure reduces the efficiency of your skin’s antimicrobial barrier, she says.
(5) Don’t use flushable wet wipes
If you’re sensitive to chemicals like alcohol, glycerin, scents, and certain oils, using a flushable wet wipe after s*x can cause irritation, since you’re more susceptible to skin issues after s*x, says Page.
The signs include redness, swelling, itching, and tenderness. If you’re set on cleaning up with something other than toilet paper, try doing your own wipe with warm water and vinegar, says Page.
Mix one teaspoon of vinegar with a quart of water, pour some on to a wash cloth and wipe your vulva over the toilet, and then pat dry, she says.
“The vinegar is mildly cleansing and helps maintain the skin’s natural acidity,” says Page.
The bottom line: You have only one v*gina, treat it gently.

So Unfortunate!! SON Nabs Wine Importer Who Allegedly Changed Products’ Expiry Dates

The Standards Organisation of Nigeria has arrested a cosmetics and wine importer suspected of changing the expiry dates on products and putting new dates on them to mislead buyers.
The importer, Mr. Joseph Udeh, owner of Jouf Nigeria Limited, located at No. 10 Faith Street, off Comfort Oboh Street, Kirikiri Road, Apapa, Lagos is said to be a major dealer in popular cosmetics and home product brands.
When our correspondent visited his resident with the enforcement team from the SON, she observed that the importer converted two four-storey residential buildings, each containing eight rooms into storage facilities for products.
A closer look at some of the cosmetics revealed varying expiry dates, some dating as far back as 2004 while some had expired in 2013 and some in 2016.
Udeh whose shop is located at Balogun Market, Trade Fair complex, told our correspondent on the sideline that he was a supplier to major retail outlets and some of the major department stores in Nigeria.
Justifying the presence of so many expiry goods in his ‘warehouse,’ he said he had made several calls to the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control, seeking to destroy the goods but the agency had been slow in responding.
“We invite NAFDAC every year to come and destroy the expired goods but they do not come as often as we need them to and sometimes when they come, they would insist on destroying only a limited number, two truckloads of goods, maybe,” he said.
But the agency denied knowledge of Udeh and his summons. Speaking in response to a phone inquiry by our correspondent, the Public Relations Officer of NAFDAC, Mrs. Christy Obiazikwor, said the man was using NAFDAC excuse to cover up for his crime.
“What he is saying is not even logical. If he invited NAFDAC to destroy the products, why is he then changing label on them?” she said.
Addressing journalists shortly after the operation, the Head, Inspectorate and Compliance, SON, Mr. Bede Obayi, who represented the Director General, SON, Mr. Osita Aboloma, said the importer would face the full wrath of the law.
“The volume of the goods that expired is inestimable. They are worth millions of naira. We are going to carry out further investigations and process of recall to use those people that they have supplied, the status of the products and the expiry dates.”
“We have our offices throughout the nation and we are going to escalate the recall process immediately when we get all the details of their transactions. Anywhere we find these products in circulation, SON must get there to pick them at the cost of this importer. SON can no longer tolerate this nefarious act and people who are out to kill Nigerians in the name of merchandise.
“This is not acceptable to SON and we cannot take this.” Aboloma further stated, “Imagine a product that should be used in wrapping up a baby in 2017 has expired in 2015, what will be the effect on the baby, of course it would be negative reaction on the baby. We have baby powders that have expired since 2013 and four years after, the products are still going into the market. When they sell, they remove the expiry dates and put new dates to deceive the unsuspecting consumers and when you buy these products, you think they are products that can help you, not knowing that they are products that would cause you all sorts of diseases.”
According to the SON official, many innocent people suffer without knowing the root causes of their illnesses, maintaining that the importer of these expired products are killing and robbing innocent Nigerians ‎of their hard-earned money.

‘President Buhari Has Anaemia’- A Professor Of Medicine Confirms!

A medical expert, Professor Femi Williams, categorically said yesterday that President Muhammadu Buhari, was anaemic.
This, the certified physician in Anatomic Pathology from London and Ireland, told The Nation in an interview, could only have been responsible for the blood transfusion which the president got during his medical vacation in the United Kingdom.
Buhari admitted on his return home on Friday that he had transfusion in London.
“We now have a pretty good idea of diagnosis, which is now comprehensive or good enough to say that the diagnosis of President Buhari’s illness is anaemia,” Williams said.
“You cannot be transfused if you don’t have anaemia,” he explained.
He had, in a previous diagnosis based on the president’s photograph published in the newspapers, ruled out anaemia.
He also said that the anaemia could have been triggered by self –medication.

Woman, 35, gives birth to conjoined twins fused at head, doctors say they may be sharing brain (photos)

A 35 year old woman has given birth to two healthy conjoined twins fused at the head but separate bodies facing opposite directions.
Doctors say these two cute girls may be sharing brain, would need surgery to separate

The mother, identified as Sarifa Khatun from India, reportedly gave birth to the conjoined twins at home when her water broke and there was no transport in the village to take her to the hospital.

Dr Aaatur Rahman says the baby girls have healthy set of limbs and vital organs but would require major brain surgery to separate them, as they may be sharing brain.

The mother gave birth to these conjoined twins at home

The parents, Mrs Khatun and her husband Mr Yakur Ali, have since been informed about the crucial surgery that will give the babies a normal life.

"The babies are stable and healthy and can be separated through brain surgery. It's a very rare case that requires only a neurosurgeon," says Dr Rahman, who is a paediatrician.

He has referred the babies to a more advanced hospital in Guwahati where other surgeons will look into the complexity involved and advise the parents accordingly.

For now, the deeply concerned parents can only sit back, pray and hope that the surgery will go on well and give their twins a normal life.

Lady Addicted to Selfies Who Spends 23hrs a Day Online, Develops a Painful Disease (Photos)

A young selfie addicted lady who spent up to 23 hours a day online, is currently seeking help after developing a painful disease caused by hunching over her laptop.

Michelle Gore

21-year-old lady identified as Michelle Gore, from Bracknell, Berkshire, United Kingdom, who became so obsessed with technology that she took 200 selfies a day and used her phone in the shower, has warned others of the dangers after developing a rare medical condition.

It was learnt that she spends up to 23 hours online every day and was thrilled to receive some latest gadgets at Christmas of 2014. However after spending hours hunching over a selection of devices including a tablet, phone and laptop, she was diagnosed with Tietze disease in January last year.

Michelle, who graduated from the University of Bath in July 2015, said; "I would end up spending the entire holidays glued to a screen of some sort – whether it was watching a YouTube tutorial to work out how to use my new phone, or trawling an internet forum for tips."

"I was never without my phone or some other device because I couldn’t bear to miss out on updates from apps like Snapchat, Instagram or WhatsApp. I’d be taking selfies all day as many as 200 just to get the perfect shot that I could post online.

And before I went to bed I’d play games on my PlayStation or Xbox or watch Netflix, but just so I didn’t miss out, I’d leave my phone on all night in case a message came through.

I even specially requested a waterproof phone for Christmas last year, just so I could stay online in the shower."

Her Doctor said her addiction had put a strain on her rib cartilage, causing the inflammatory disorder which is characterised by chest pain and swelling between the upper ribs.

"Sometimes I was getting just one hour of sleep a night and that meant I struggled to focus during the day. I’d take my phone to lectures with me and found it hard to concentrate. As a result, my grades suffered and while I got a degree, I didn’t get the result I wanted.

I don’t know how long I can keep this up. I got the shakes I am sweating and unstable... and I am bored out my mind. I look in the mirror and I am a mess...My hair is a tangled mess... the colour from my face is gone... my once so lively eyes never looked so lifeless.... it’s like staring at a zombie version of myself."

Now she is warning others about the dangers of getting too hooked on technology and has made a hard-hitting video highlighting the perils with the charity Fixers. Recovered Michelle who is also a graphic designer, said; "

I realised I had a problem when I woke up on Boxing Day 2014 tangled up in cables from different gadgets. I had the laptop wire round my leg, my headphones around my neck, my mobile under my pillow, my tablet charging on my bedside table and my Xbox and PlayStation controls at the foot of the bed. I thought, "this isn’t normal".

And when Michelle began experiencing shooting pains in her back and chest, she knew something was seriously wrong. She said: "I was in pain every day and I was worried there was something up with my heart so I went to see my GP in January last year."

I was at breaking point so I confessed how long I’d been spending on my gadgets. She said I’d strained my costal cartilage from being in the same position for so long staring at my phone or hunching over my laptop. It came as a real shock but luckily it was the wake-up call I needed to sort myself out."

Dr Richard Graham, Consultant Adolescent Psychiatrist and Technology Addiction Lead at the Nightingale Clinic, UK, said the addiction is complex to treat.

"Unlike with alcohol or drugs, a patient cannot simply decide never to use a technology again. Instead, they must learn to establish a healthy relationship with technology and that is the crux of the treatment; sleep and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy are peripheral treatments that treat conditions that can sometimes coexist with technology addiction.

He added: "We need technology in our lives and it brings a host of benefits. It can however, drain us of our time as we spend more and more time online. This can become a compulsion to constantly be plugged in so that we don’t ever risk feeling that we are missing out, or stepping off a ladder. The by-product of this is that we are seeing an increasing number of young people addicted to technology."

Scientists Develop Super Condoms That Kill HIV Virus and Boosts Sexual Pleasure (Photo)

A team of scientists in America have invented a new type of condom that is capable of killing the HIV virus while enhancing pleasure.

The new hydrogel-based condom

A new hydrogel-based condom that contains antioxidants has been invented by a team of Indian-American scientists at the Texas A&M University Health Science Center.

It was gathered that not only does it contain plant-based antioxidants, which kills the HIV-virus in case of condom breakage but it also uses antioxidants to enhance pleasure.

Experts say it is the new big player to join the fight against AIDS

"We are not only making a novel material for condoms to prevent the HIV infection, but we are also aiming to eradicate this infection if possible. Supercondom could help fight against HIV infection and may as well prevent unwanted pregnancy or sexually transmitted diseases. If we succeed, it will revolutionize the HIV prevention initiative"

Choudhury, the lead researcher and assistant professor at the Texas A&M Health Science Center's Irma Lerma Rangel College of Pharmacy, said the researchers hope to test the condom within the next six months and then get it released for general usage.

PLACING BAREFOOT ON GROUND: ACCESS TO EARTH’S HEALING POWER

The increased use of consumer electronics and gadgets – radio, television, computer, cell phones and other related appliances – has brought with it negative side effects on users’ health.

However, man has ignored a very vital means of improving his health, walking bare foot on the ground. Mr. Adjei Quaye, health campaigner and naturopath, who made the assertion in a health forum in Lagos said there are natural remedies from herbs and even the ground to bring succour to ailments.

Quaye said there are several man made item that deprive man from getting the much needed electrons from the earth. They include raised beds, synthetic mats, vehicles, synthetic carpeting, baby prams, footwear’s, vinyl covering the floor and even mattresses. He said that the human race is largely being bombarded with electronic gadgets all the hours of the day.

“If you were not using cell phones, someone would be calling, thereby polluting the whole atmosphere with electromagnetic waves. These waves affect our system and these electrons ionise the chemicals that enter the body and turn them to free radicals, which reduces the body’s immunity status.”

Quaye, also physical sciences lecturer at the University of Cape Coast said, “The body is like a ‘system’ made up of organs like the kidney, liver and others, then tissues, cells, molecules, atoms, nucleus and electrons. From the electrons, is produced a magnetic force.

Assuming a liver has 10 electrons, and the free radicals have taken five, it means the immune system gets weaker. So, the issue here is how to get back the lost electrons.”

He said it is all about the general wellbeing of the human body, adding that when the immune system is attacked by free radicals, the body defensive mechanism is compromised. But when the foot is placed on the ground and following the 2nd Law of Thermodynamics, energy moves from one place to another, electrons begin to flow to occupy the places where there is shortage.

It flows from the ground to the body for rejuvenation and there is also a healing process. Quaye revealed that to get replacement of the lost electrons, which is synonymous with boosting the immune system, the bare foot should be placed on the floor for as long as possible.

He said studies have shown that in children, for example, those who walk barefoot recover more quickly in case of ill health than those who don’t.

The benefits of going barefoot Pointing out that since the nerves of our organs (eye, liver, kidney, pancreas, etc) terminate in our palms and under the feet, Quaye said man is most likely to activate an organ like the kidney to function well by going barefoot, thereby giving it a natural acupuncture. Insomnia and arthritis patients, He said have shown positive results just by walking barefoot.

The incidence of fibroids, breast and prostate cancers and other disorders may reduce drastically by walking barefoot. He advised that it is a healthy practice for a pregnant woman to go barefoot.

As the activity of walking barefoot increases such other benefits as better sleep, lower stress, more calmness, relief from migraine and headache, reduced cancer incidence, improved blood pressure and improved fertility and sexuality can be attained.

He claimed that, while normalisation of the body’s biological rhythms could be attained, he however warned that diabetic patients should be careful when walking barefoot to avoid cuts.

Quaye said there are several man made item that deprive man from getting the much needed electrons from the earth. They include raised beds, synthetic mats, vehicles, synthetic carpeting, baby prams, footwear’s, vinyl covering the floor and even mattresses. He revealed that health focused manufacturers are making mattresses with magnets to improve blood and oxygen flow in the body.

CASSAVA ENGINEERED TO ‘CURE’ VITAMIN B6 DEFICIENCY

Plant scientists engineered the cassava plant to produce higher levels of vitamin B6 in its storage roots and leaves. This could help to protect millions of people in Africa from serious deficiencies.

In many tropical countries, particularly in sub-Saharan Africa, cassava is one of the most important staple foods. People eat the starchy storage roots but also the leaves as a vegetable. Both have to be cooked first to remove the toxic cyanide compounds that cassava produces.

But the roots have a disadvantage: although rich in calories, in general they contain only few vitamins. Vitamin B6 in particular is present in only small amounts, and a person for whom cassava is a staple food would have to eat about 1.3 kg of it every day for a sufficient amount of this vital vitamin.

Vitamin B6 deficiency is prevalent in several African regions where cassava is often the only staple food people’s diet. Diseases of the cardiovascular and nervous systems as well as are associated with vitamin B6 deficiency.

Plant scientists at ETH Zurich and the University of Geneva have therefore set out to find a way to increase vitamin B6 production in the roots and leaves of the cassava plant. This could prevent vitamin B6 deficiency among people who consume mostly cassava.

Their project has succeeded: in the latest issue of Nature Biotechnology, the scientists present a new genetically modified cassava variety that produces several-fold higher levels of this important vitamin.

“Using the improved variety, only 500 g of boiled roots or 50 g of leaves per day is sufficient to meet the daily vitamin B6 requirement,” says Wilhelm Gruissem, professor of plant biotechnology at ETH Zurich.

The basis for the new genetically modified cassava variant was developed by Professor Teresa Fitzpatrick at the University of Geneva. She discovered the biosynthesis of vitamin B6 in the model plant thale cress (Arabidopsis thaliana). Two enzymes, PDX1 and PDX2, are involved in the synthesis of the vitamin. With the introduction of the corresponding genes for the enzymes, into the cassava genome, the researchers produced several new cassava lines that had increased levels of vitamin B6.

To determine if the increased production of the vitamin in the genetically modified cassava was stable without affected the yield, the plant scientists conducted tests in the greenhouse and in field trials over the course of several years. “It was important to determine that the genetically modified cassava consistently produced high vitamin B6 levels under different conditions,” says Gruissem.
Measurements of the metabolites confirmed that cassava lines produced several times more vitamin B6 in both roots and leaves than normal cassava. The researchers also attributed the increased production to the activity of the transferred genes, regardless of whether the plants were grown in a greenhouse or the field. The increased vitamin B6 trait remained stable even after the cassava was multiplied twice by vegetative propagation.

Previously, the researchers had analysed several hundred different cassava varieties from Africa for its natural vitamin B6 content — none had a level as high as the genetically modified variety.

Vitamin B6 from the genetically modified varieties is bioavailable, which means that humans can absorb it well and use it, as was confirmed by a research team at the University of Utrecht.

“Our strategy shows that increasing vitamin B6 levels in an important food crop using Arabidopsis genes is stable, even under field conditions. Making sure that the technology is readily available to laboratories in developing countries is equally important,” says Hervé Vanderschuren, who led the cassava research programme at ETH Zurich and recently became a professor of plant genetics at the University of Liège.

It is still unclear when and how vitamin B6-enhanced cassava will find its way to farmers and consumers. The new trait should be crossed in varieties preferred by farmers using traditionCASSAVA ENGINEERED TO ‘CURE’ VITAMIN B6 DEFICIENCYCASSAVA ENGINEERED TO ‘CURE’ VITAMIN B6 DEFICIENCYal plant breeding or introduced into selected varieties using genetic engineering.
Babcock University, Ilishan-Remo, Ogun State recorded another milestone last Thursday, as the first heart surgery was performed in the institution’s Teaching Hospital, by its doctors. The operation lasted six hours.

The first beneficiary of this feat in the history of the university is a 34-year-old woman, who brimmed with exceptional spirit as she calmly walked through the door with gaiety into the theatre for a life saving venture in the human hands of cardio thoracic surgeons, Professor Kamar Adeleke, Dr. Michael Sanusi, Dr. Mudashiru Lawal and Dr. Edward Anderson, all resident doctors.
