Flight attendants have shared some outrightly strange behaviours of passengers on flights ranging from the mildly annoying nail biters to bizarre incidents of animal heads in overhead lockers.
Passengers on a plane: File photo
Are you the ideal plane passenger ? You may think you are - but before you decide, you should probably read what flight attendants have to say on the matter.
Those who have witnessed rudeness, disgusting acts or just plain weird behaviour on flights have taken to Q&A website Quora to share their anecdotes.
Olivia Roqua aired her grievances and described all the bizarre and irritating things her passengers have done.
She wrote: "I've had people wanting to know what altitude we are at before we have taken off.
"I've seen people push their vomiting children through the business class curtains so they don't have to deal with the mess. I've seen a woman put her baby in the hat rack."
"Can I masturbate?"
Ever taken your shoes off on a plane? Julien Durand finds this disgusting. He says he has witnessed people walking barefoot on board - 'even in the toilets'.
But he also shares anecdotes of far more bizarre behaviour. He claims a man asked him if he could masturbate 'even though the seat belt sign was on'.
He adds that he once witnessed a man looking at a pornography magazine - even though he was sitting next to a child
Even more odd is his tale of one passenger putting a freshly cut antelope's head in the overhead locker, causing blood to drip out.

Not a nanny service
If you're a parent who's ever let the cabin crew see to your child, you're also on the naughty list. Julian lists 'parents believing we are the toddler's nanny' as one of his pet hates.
Heather Wilde also listed some behaviour she found disturbing - people changing their babies' nappies on snack trays in full view of everyone.
She goes on to criticise the 'nail biters, gas passers, fungus pickers and acne poppers' for acting as though they are 'in a bubble all alone' as soon as they get on a plane.
Oh and, to all the couples who think nobody can see what they are doing - Heather says flight attendants are aware of your antics.

Abusing freebies
We all love a freebie, but apparently some of us take it too far - and one passenger ended up getting into an embarrassing situation.
Katerina Simms wrote: "I had a friend who worked as a flight attendant and she got into a mild argument with a guy who insisted on having EVERYTHING that was free or complimentary on the flight.
"He was highly annoying and constantly asked crew for stuff. If he saw someone next to him get something, he wanted it too.
"At one point during the flight a lady asked for a sanitary pad to help her with an 'emergency' situation. He insisted he should have one too - cos you know, it's free, right?
"My friend tried to reason with him. I'm not sure if his English was 100%, because he insisted again and seemed to assume the pad was a sleep mask.รข€‹
"Upon receiving his sanitary pad he proceeded to peel the paper backing off and expose the sticky side; he stuck the thing over his eyes and soon afterwards fell asleep..."
So next time you're on a plane, perhaps think what flight attendants will think of your behaviour, or your antics might end up on the internet...
